When The Food Is Mutual: Eating With Erica's Media Dinner

It's Wednesday evening in Smryna, GA and I gather around a table of seven beautiful bloggers for an evening off good food and conversation.

Now - for many who read my blog, food is something that I love yet its not something I blog about. However, on this weather-friendly, Wednesday night at Clark & Schwenks Seafood & Oyster Bar, all of that changed.

The dinner was presented by Eating With Erica and PostFav and included two-course meal of delicious seafood appetizers and entrees. As the waiters introduced the first course, I noticed the large platter stacked with raw, uncooked oysters, clams, crab and shrimp complemented with scallops and salmon sashimi. When the waiter placed the platter and its additions onto the center of the table, all I thought to myself was:

"How the hell do I eat oysters?"

It's one of those platters you'd rather stare at than eat, and after I followed the lead of the other women demolishing the food at the table - it was time to choose our second course.

I chose the flounder, mashed potatoes and asparagus along with a glass (or three) of Leese Fitch Cabernet Sauvignon. For the first time in a long time - I found myself stuffing myself to capacity, not only because the food was absolutely delicious but also because I waste no food. At all.

For a girl with an entertainment website and background, Eating With Erica's Media Dinner was definitely one for the books. The women were inviting, I ate raw, uncooked seafood for the first time, the waiters were absolutely attentive to what I needed while I indulged in conversations other than music.

Not to mention the food which was amazing!

Overall, I got to know seven talented women with one thing in common... food and a large appetite. And honestly, it gets no better than that.
