Where Southern Roots Meet Traditional Hip-Hop: Meet Artist, D. Cater

Born in the same city as legends such as Otis Redding and Little Richard, Macon, Georgia, D. Cater began to hone his skills as an M.C at an early age.

He was the oldest of three siblings, which pushed him to have to grow up quicker than the usual kid -- even then, made him the oddball out with many of the others in school.

But that did not stop young D.Cater, he joined a music group in junior high school, to graduating from high school and aligning himself with people that influenced the likes of Jeezy and other national artists.

He traveled throughout the state of Georgia as a solo artist with a group of music artists in addition to meeting influential people that made a large impact on his career.

Channeling his lyrical influences by blending his unique southern roots with traditional hip-hop. His music is nostalgic and gives you the feeling you had when you first fell in love with hip hop.

Seeing himself as a seasoned rapper, Cater will continue to go against the grain, unrestricted with no boundaries.

As he plans to continue to serve us with feel-good music and a new school touch, there’s no other option but to bet on Cater’s persistence, so be on the lookout for more of the recording artist.
