William Blue (born June 3, 1993), known as Vega$ Bang'em a.k.a Ra Vega$, is an American musician from Durham, North Carolina. Vega$ embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the moniker Vegas Bang'em, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention after his signing with Atlanta-based indie record label Archive Entertainment.
Vega$ began to gain major recognition in 2015 with the release of his debut mixtape "The Rough Draft" featuring prominent artists such as DC Young Fly, Lil Silk, and Skypad War. This debut 'tape included one of Vega$'s most popular songs entitled "Beloved" and the controversial and witty "Amerikkka" song, showcasing his lyrical prowess and understanding of the Hip-Hop culture. Vega$ is an acronym, meaning,
"Victorious.Even.Goin.Against.$atan", that he came up with to symbolize his direction with music. He later added the nickname "Ra" as a way to express his knowledge and pay homage to his ancestors from West Africa as well as paying homage to Ra'Kim. His musical influences range from Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, Big Pun, Big L, Tupac and Biggie to Andre 3000, Fabolous, The Lox and many more.
